Penta Hotel
Located in an old industrial district characterized by mid-to-high-rise factory buildings
Our team was tasked with designing the hotel façade, the ground-floor porte-cochère, and the third-floor open-air swimming pool. To achieve an "uptown chic" aesthetic, the tower façade features an elegant interplay of grey-toned wall tiles and low-reflective glass.
The rhythm of the tower's bay windows smoothly transitions into the stone-clad street-front entrance through a series of light grey vertical aluminum fins at the podium. These fins create a seamless vertical transformation while effectively screening views of the neighboring industrial buildings. At the arrival point, the light grey marble-clad porte-cochère establishes a sense of grandeur, anchored by a beige, streamlined ribbed ceiling that serves as a visual focal point. By utilizing varying grey tones across stone, aluminum, and glass, the design delivers a fresh, modern identity—proving that thoughtful, understated architectural vocabulary can spark the rejuvenation of an entire historic district.the Penta Hotel redevelopment required a design that would stand out within its rugged urban context.
