Warren Woods

Situated in the historic neighborhood of Tai Hang—originally a coastal fishing village that evolved into a quiet enclave of colonial verandah houses

Phis project builds upon the architectural language initiated at Ming Yuen Western Street. Rising within a rapidly densifying urban matrix, the building balances its towering presence with deep contextual reverence.

The design begins at the street plane with an 8-storey parking and clubhouse podium, featuring a striking colonnaded facade. The rhythmic interplay of deep shadows and white columns serves as an architectural memory, beautifully evoking the verandahed typology of the area’s colonial past.

Above this historical base, the residential tower optimizes a highly compact floor plate, organizing six units per typical floor and culminating in premium simplex and duplex configurations across the top six levels. Strategic corner structural layouts allow for expansive curtain walls that capture vistas of Victoria Park from the lower storeys, while the upper-tier residences clear the surrounding fabric to unlock panoramic views of Victoria Harbour. To complete the envelope, traditional Hong Kong residential features—balconies and utility platforms—are seamlessly integrated into the interior spatial logic. Crafted with generous expanses of glass, these functional elements are transformed into elegant, lightweight architectural features that emphasize the tower’s verticality while imparting a distinct aesthetic lightness.
