The rise of new mixed-use developments in the neighborhood drove the architectural imperative for this project to carve out a distinct, independent identity

Rather than signaling technological or environmental themes, the facade’s green palette draws inspiration from Neue Staatsgalerie

It acts as a deliberate foil to the surrounding context—a witty, daring, and industrial homage to the district's manufacturing heritage. This concept manifests as a pixelated envelope composed of green-toned glass panels with varying degrees of transparency and opacity, creating a shifting sense of volume. While seemingly random, this arrangement is pragmatically calibrated to control interior views and light, weaving the building into a dynamic visual interaction with its users and the surrounding streetscape.

At the base, the podium is conceived as an agile, collaborative hub, offering highly flexible space tailored to a diverse mix of commercial tenants. In contrast to this open civic interface, the residential entrance is intentionally subdued, preserving privacy and seclusion from the public realm. Above, the 19-storey tower accommodates 76 residential units. By organizing an efficient footprint of four flats per floor, the design delivers compact yet sophisticated urban spaces specifically tailored for young professionals embracing a contemporary lifestyle.
